Whitsundays

The Whitsundays are located off the eastern coast of Queensland in the heart of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. The Whitsundays Coast includes Airlie Beach, which is the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands, Bowen, Mackay and Proserpine which is the main airport for the region. Bowen is the mango capital of Australia located in the north of the region, and Mackay is located in the south.

The Whitsunday Islands are made up of 74 tropical islands including the resort islands of Hayman Island, Hamilton Island, Long Island and Daydream Island. Whitehaven Beach is regularly voted as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and is located on Whitsunday Island. A trip to the Whitsundays is not complete without a tour out to the spectacular Hill Inlet and Whitehaven Beach, and a snorkel or dive of the Great Barrier Reef.
