A Shark Cage Diving Charter in Port Lincoln, South Australia is a must-do Aussie Bucket List experience. This 1-day Shark Cage Diving Charter is an AUSTRALIAN FIRST with Port Lincoln being the only place in Australia where you can cage dive with Great White Sharks. Calypso Star Charters is honoured to be fully licensed by the South Australian Department of Environment. They are also the only one day operator permitted by the Fisheries Department to use natural fish berley to attract the Great White Sharks to their boat at the Neptune Islands Marine Park. The use of berley gives the highest chance of sighting sharks and productive interaction close to the vessel and cage, resulting in a memorable encounter and wonderful photographic opportunities both inside the cage and from the boat.
Along with their license to berley in Australian waters, the tour operator is proud to be Advanced Eco Certified and a Climate Action Leader.
Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, cappuccino and filtered water included. Soft drinks and bottled water are available for purchase throughout the day. As a licensed vessel the bar opens on the way home with beer, cider, wine and champagne available for purchase.
They often have Great Whites around the boat before dropping the anchor. Groups enter the new spacious cage up to 8 at a time leaving plenty of room for prime shark viewing! Once the sharks arrive each group will have the opportunity to experience cage diving face to face with the amazing Great White Shark. Please note that the cage diving time can vary and will depend on the shark activity and weather on the day.
View these marvelous creatures through the crystal clear water that surrounds the Neptune Islands. While you aren't in the water you don't miss out, the action from the very spacious upper and lower decks is fantastic. Keep your camera on hand for those prime photographic opportunities.

All guests: $520.00 plus $41.00 Visitor Use Fee = $561.00
Price includes the use of our 7mm wetsuit, hood, boots, gloves and mask.
NO extra dive fees to be paid on board.
The price of our tours is the same for all guests as when a shark is sighted, everyone on board has the opportunity to view the shark, not just those in the cage. We encourage all guests to dive in the shark cage and respect the wishes of those who prefer to watch from the boat. If a shark isn’t sighted, all guests receive a $300 voucher as part of our No Shark Policy.
The $41.00 Visitor Use Fee payable to Department of Environment and Water (DEW) at the time of booking. No administration fee charged.
Visitor Use Fee - Calypso Star Charters is required by the South Australian Government to hold a licence to operate at the Neptune Islands and to pay licence fees. These licence fees go towards research and ongoing management of white shark cage diving, including monitoring of interactions of white sharks and tourism at Neptune Islands.

As we are dealing with a nomadic creature in its natural environment, we cannot suggest when would be the best time to join us as each year can be different. Return transfers are provided at the cost of $15 per person from most accommodation places.
If you are making your own way to the boat in the morning please ensure you arrive 30 minutes prior to your departure time on your booking confirmation.
Travel time to the Neptune Islands is approximately 3 hours, and we do travel through open ocean. We STRONGLY recommend you take travel sickness medication as a precaution, taking one the night before your charter and one again the morning of before arrival at the Marina.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Visitor Use Fee is payable by all guests entering the Ron and Valerie Taylor Marine Park (Neptune Islands) on a shark cage diving tour. This fee is used to cover the Government management, research and compliance costs associated with the industry.
The price of the Calypso Star tours is the same for guests who wish to dive or not, as when a shark is sighted, everyone on board has the opportunity to view the shark, not just those in the cage. We encourage all guests to dive in the shark cage and respect the wishes of those who prefer to watch from the boat. If a shark isn’t sighted, all guests receive a discounted return ticket as part of Calypso Star's No Shark Policy.
