Bateman's Bay Double Scuba Dive Experience

You'll have the unique opportunity to embark on two breathtaking dives, guided by one of our qualified PADI Divemasters. Prepare for an awe-inspiring underwater journey, giving you the opportunity to have a close encounter with sharks, both great and small. Explore untouched coral reefs teeming with vibrant marine life, a world that's bursting with natural beauty and wonder.

• Generally, a minimum of at least 6 people per dive (booked together or separate) are required to allow the tour to operate
• Maximum 11 people
• Must be a qualified scuba diver and be able to produce your PADI Open Water (or equivalent) certification. If not a qualified scuba diver, please instead purchase our Snorkelling Experience or enquire about our “PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course” or “PADI Open Water Diver Course”
• Must be age 12+ to participate – Those aged under 18 must have a parent/guardian co-sign the waiver
• Must show your Open Water Dive Certificate
• Must advise of any medical conditions and complete the Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire if pre-existing injuries or current health issues are present, clearance must be given by a Doctor/GP prior to diving
• PADI requires that you need to have undertaken regular diving activities over the last 12-24 months or organise a Scuba Refresher with us
• This is a fully guided dive and participants must follow the instruction of the PADI Divemaster

You will be required to read and complete forms for Boat Release, Travel Release, Drivers Liability and Standard Safe Diving. These will be included in your confirmation email.

What to bring:

• Swimmers/towel
• Hat/Sunscreen – we recommend using a “reef safe” sunscreen
• Jacket
• Open Water Certificate (or qualifying certification)
• Sea sickness tablets (if required)
• Camera/Go Pro

Itinerary:

• Meet at the Hanging Rock Boat Ramp at 7.30am unless otherwise communicated. Look for the Beneath the Bay vessel. Please note: If you are late and miss the boat, unfortunately you will not be refunded
• Board the Beneath the Bay vessel
• 10-15 minute pre-dive briefing session. Generally a 10-15 minute boat ride to dive site (depending on location) please note that there are a number of sites that we may visit on the day, all depending on weather conditions. Sites may include – Tollgate Islands, Black Rock, Burrewarra “Burri” Point, Jimmies Island and several other dive sites. Brush Island at Bawley Point on a rare occasion
• Your first dive will be approximately 45 minutes
• You will then have a minimum 30 minute surface interval. Light refreshments will be provided to allow you to recharge
• The boat will then take you to another location for your second dive. Depending on the weather and depths of the first dive, it will be approximately a 45 minute dive
• We recommend you not fly for a minimum of 24-48 hours after your last dive to avoid decompression sickness (the bends)
