All About

Kilsby Sinkhole

Highlights

Kilsby Sinkhole is a must-see Aussie Bucket List attraction located in Moorak, on the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. Serenely located on a working sheep farm only 15 minutes from Mount Gambier, Kilsby Sinkhole is world-renowned as one of the best sinkhole dive sites due to its crystal-clear water and breathtaking visibility. Kilsby Sinkhole is the only privately owned sinkhole in Australia that welcomes snorkellers, freedivers and Open Water certified scuba divers under a licensed, qualified guide.

Guided Snorkelling and Sinkhole site tours are available by booking online. All gear and supervisor supplied. Scuba and Freediving must be arranged with one of our registered Licensees on the site (a list is on the website, and bookings for these experiences are made through these licensees only).

Kilsby Sinkhole offers four luxury villa-style accommodations built on the edge of the sinkhole. Groups of two to 20 guests can be booked at any one time. Villa 1 and Villa 2 are divided by a common large sliding door and can accommodate up to 10 people when booked together. The villas also offer an undercover barbeque area with fire pit.

Kilsby Sinkhole is also home to its very own Distillery, producing the award-winning Sinkhole Gin and Limoncello Gin. Distilled on-site, these gins are produced from the sinkhole's crystal clear limestone-filtered water and locally grown native botanicals. Gin tastings are available after any pre-booked snorkel or sinkhole tour. Contact them for private tastings or large groups.
