Minnehaha Falls is a must-see Aussie Bucket List attraction when visiting the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney in New South Wales. The trail is 2.6km return, and considered an easy to moderate hiking trail. The falls are located in a area that is popular for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

The trail for Minnehaha Falls starts from the car park at the end of Minni Ha Ha Rd in Katoomba. The walk in is bordered by native plants and has several small pools along the way before arriving at to a larger swimming hole at the base of Minnehaha falls, there is even a rock jump (please use extreme caution whenever swimming in natural surroundings as logs and other debris may have fallen and may not be visible from out of the water). It is an easy walking along the creek for 900 metres and than steep descent via multiple ladders for 300 metres.

This trail is getting popular, especially during the warmer summer months, so we recommend arriving early before the crowds arrive.
