Mungindi Hot Pool
Highlights
Rest and rejuvenate in an ambience created by nature at Mungindi's Artesian mineral pool. Surrounded by soothing mineral-rich water, feel the luxury of constantly flowing, naturally filtered water as you experience this tranquil country environment.
The Artesian Bore was drilled at Mungindi in 1996 at a depth of 1037 metres. Thermal water from the Great Artesian Basin in the 5.8m x 3m pool is kept at approximately 38 degrees – rest and rejuvenate in our mineral-rich, naturally filtered, thermal artesian waters. To keep cool in the summer months there is also a 33 m pool and for families a children’s wading pool. The complex includes shower and toilet facilities.
Mungindi is uniquely straddling the New South Wales and Queensland border, located 120 kilometres north west of Moree. As the shortest route from Sydney to Darwin, the sealed Carnarvon Highway allows you to experience the true Australian bush on your travels. They are also apart of the Great Artesian Drive.
