Overview

Highlights

South of the city centre, Red Hill offers an amazing lookout over many of our national icons and sweeping vistas of Canberra from the south. In autumn, the brilliant reds and oranges of the deciduous trees in the suburbs below are stunning. Combine the views with food and wine in one of the two eateries; Onred or the more casual Little Brother.

Do some bird watching. The eucalypt hollows are the favourite nesting places of white-throated treecreepers and southern boobooks.

Important Information

Guidelines

  • Always do some research before heading out for your journey. Visit the parks website for the most up to date information.
  • Ensure you observe all safety signs. Always stay on the marked tracks where possible. Never climb fences, they are there for your own safety.
  • Please consider the environment, take your rubbish with you or place in the bins provided. We want to ensure these beautiful places are still here for our future generations to enjoy.
  • Do not feed the wildlife.
  • Leave nothing but footprints. Take nothing but memories.
