Sealy Lookout (Niigi Niigi)
Highlights
Sealy Lookout in Orara East State Forest is Coffs Harbour's first eco-certified tourism attraction. Only 15 minutes north of Coffs, the famous Forest Sky Pier offers visitors an amazing panoramic view from mountains to the coast, from 15 metres above the forest floor.
The Forest Sky Pier is complemented by an all-access undercover picnic area, picnic tables in surrounding forest and rainforest walking tracks. Giingan Gumbaynggirr Cultural Experience tours happen here - a great way to learn about culture and practices of the Gumbaynggirr Traditional Owners. Or take an adventure with adjacent Coffs Treetops, climbing, soaring and traipsing through the canopy.
Visitors should also take time to visit Gumgali Track at adjacent Korora Lookout, a First People Interpretive Walk and experience that tells the Gumbaynggirr story of Gumgali, the Black Goanna. Visitors can also listen to the story in Gumbaynggirr language at the sound bar.
Access is via sealed road for the majority of the drive. Head north from Coffs Harbour on the Pacific Highway, turn left onto Bruxner Park Road (just north of the Big Banana) then left again at the ridge top onto Scenic Drive, following the road up to the Lookout.
