SilverSwift Dive and Snorkel Day Trip

Duration: 9 Hours  

9 hours total - 5 hours on the Reef

  • 7.30am : Check-in at the Silverswift Counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal for your boarding passes.
  • 8:15am - Vessel boarding. Complimentary morning tea/breakfast served.
  • 4:30pm - Silverswift arrives at Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal.

A day with Silverswift is all about being in the water and experiencing the magical underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef. It’s exciting, exotic and breathtaking! With our exclusive permits and remote sites, you’ll be able to dive and snorkel 3 uniquely different and ecologically diverse sites, each chosen to suit the day’s conditions. In between water activities, relax on the sundecks or in the air-conditioned lounges, and of course, enjoy a delicious lunch for hungry adventurers!

  • Snorkelling equipment (even if diving, you will still have plenty of time to snorkel)

What to bring:

  • Presentation of a valid photo ID and the credit card used to book/a credit card is required for anti-fraud verification purposes at check-in.
  • Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Towel
  • Swimsuit
  • Cert card and logbook for certified diving
  • Reusable water bottle

The staff will issue you with your boarding pass and direct you to the vessel.

Health & Safety

SCUBA DIVING CONDITIONS
  • As a Certified diver, you’ll need to present proof of certification.
  • Certain medical conditions (diabetes, asthma etc) and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
  • Minimum age for diving is 12 years.
  • Flying after scuba diving: It is recommended to wait at least 18 hours before flying in an airplane, skydiving, or ascending to an altitude of 300 meters or higher. If you have been diving over multiple days, it is preferable to wait 24 hours.
  • Certified divers must posses an internationally recognised SCUBA certificate card.

INTRODUCTORY SCUBA DIVING CONDITIONS

  • Minimum age for introductory scuba diving is 12 years.
  • Flying after scuba diving: It is recommended to wait at least 18 hours before flying in an airplane, skydiving, or ascending to an altitude of 300 meters or higher. If you have been diving over multiple days, it is preferable to wait 24 hours.

Important Medical Requirements for Our Guests Scuba Diving

To ensure your safety and the safety of our diving instructors, all guests participating in our diving activities must meet specific medical requirements. If you have ANY medical conditions or are taking ANY medications (excluding birth control), you need to complete an RSTC Medical form.

Steps to Follow:

1. Complete the RSTC Medical Form: Fill out the RSTC Medical form, which includes questions about your medical history and current health status. This form is crucial for assessing your fitness to dive.

2. Review Your Answers:

If you answered YES to questions 3, 5, or 10 above, or to any of the questions on page 2, please read and agree to the statement above by signing and dating it. Take all three pages of this form Participant Questionnaire and the Physician’s Evaluation Form to your physician for a medical evaluation. Participation in a diving course requires your physician’s approval.

If you answered NO to all 10 questions above, a medical evaluation is not required. Please read and agree to the participant statement.

3. Email the Form: Once completed, please email the RSTC Medical form to info@bluedive.com.au.

Please note: All divers must complete a Medical declaration prior to boarding. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g., asthma, heart disease, diabetes, operations) and/or prescription medication may prevent some people from diving. For advice, please contact our office directly.

***Please note that if you are taking prescription medication or have a medical condition or recent surgery and do not complete and submit the form in advance, you will not be able to participate in diving activities.
