Swimming with Whale Sharks is a must-do Aussie Bucket List experience when visiting the Ningaloo Reef near Exmouth, Western Australia. Spend a day snorkeling on the UNESCO-listed Ningaloo Reef and you just might spot a whale shark—the world’s largest fish (April–August). Or, you may have the opportunity to swim at a safe distance to humpback whales (September–November). Relax aboard ‘Ningaloo Blue,’ a 65-foot (20-meter), state-of-the-art vessel with comfortable seating, shade, and an observation deck. Ningaloo Blue has a 65 foot state of the art vessel, which is 2 storey with a huge under cover lower deck with comfortable seating and easy access to marlin board at water level. Then we have a huge upper deck for observation and sun bathing..

Swim with the Whale Sharks are from April - August and the Humpbacks from September - November. Whoever you swim with, you will be blown away by the sheer beauty of these giants of the sea.

What to bring:

  • Camera or GoPro (if not relying on the photographer package)
  • Motion sickness tablets (if you are prone to seasickness)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • A sense of adventure and respect for marine life
