All About

The Big Trout

Highlights

Located 51 kilometres northwest of Cooma, Adaminaby, is a popular trout fishing spot, so it's an ideal place for the 10 metre high Big Trout to live. This huge fibreglass structure was built by Adaminaby artist, Andy Lomnici, completed in 1973 and is an icon for the beautiful mountain town of Adaminaby.

The iconic sculpture has been completely refurbished by The Friends of the Fish Committee and after this full restoration, she can once again proudly take her place alongside the 144 other "Big Things" scattered throughout Australia.
