Valley of the Winds Walk
Highlights
You have to be reasonably fit to complete this 3 hour walk, but its views are breathtaking and well worth the effort. Many of our visitors consider Valley of the Winds a must do. There are two lookouts along the way to give you a better look at the formations of Kata Tjuta. You’ll find yourself far away from everyone and everything, perfectly at peace in the environment.
Please bring lots of drinking water, sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a hat. If the temperature reaches over 36 degrees Celsius, we close the walk after 11 am for people’s safety. We recommend you do this walk early in the morning especially if you’re visiting in summer. You’re more likely to see kangaroos and other wildlife in the early morning.
You’ll need a park pass to enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, which you can pre-purchase online for quick and easy entry. Park entry is free until December 31, 2020. Check the Parks Australia website for the most up to date information here: www.parksaustralia.gov.au/uluru
